Maldives Signs 15 MW Solar Project for 13 Islands

On 27 October, the Maldives signed agreements with Sino Soar Hybrid Technology for a 15 MW solar project across 13 islands. It is expected to save MVR 180 million (about US$11.6 million) annually in fuel costs. HPC can support renewable-energy planning, technical procurement and project coordination.
