Nepal Calls for Private Investment in Renewable Energy and Climate Resilience

On 4 November, Energy Minister Biraj Bhakta Shrestha urged private companies to expand solar, micro-hydropower, biogas and biomass projects and connect renewable energy with agriculture, industry and tourism. The Alternative Energy Promotion Centre reported that more than 3.7 million households had benefited from its work over three decades. No new investment amount was announced. This creates opportunities for renewable-energy developers, ESG consultants and climate-finance specialists. HPC can support sustainability research, project partnerships and investment intelligence.
